EMDR – Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) is an evidence-based treatment designed for trauma recovery. This therapy uses eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation to help your brain process traumatic memories more effectively. EMDR can lead to significant reductions in distress related to traumatic experiences, often in fewer sessions than traditional talk therapy alone. Our skilled counselors will guide you through the process, ensuring you feel supported along the way. Many clients find EMDR helps them experience rapid relief from PTSD and other trauma-related symptoms, gain new perspectives on past events, and develop healthier emotional responses.

All new clients must fill out the intake and consent forms before attending their first session. All sessions will be 50 minutes unless otherwise stated by the counselor. During the intake session, counselors will evaluate the nature of personal needs and difficulties, discover goals for therapy and recommend the course of counseling. For children’s initial sessions, the child’s legal guardian is required to attend.
